Description:
Disodium hydrogen phosphate is a sodium salt of phosphoric acid. The powder is highly hygroscopic and water soluble, meaning it absorbs water easily. The additive is used commercially as an anti-caking agent in powdered products. Disodium phosphate is used in dyeing and metal treatment. It is available in both the hydrated and anhydrous forms, and has a pH range of 8.0 to 11.0.Trisodium phosphate is also commonly used in steam boilers. DSP is a common ingredient used in various industrial processes to prevent calcium scale formation, buffer textiles, speed dispersion of dyestuffs, and purify clays. It is also used in the production of opal glass.
